Alrightythen!

I'm attempting a move to Connecticut. I have a few reasons behind this.

The first is a change of pace. I love the New England states. They're beautiful, and the people are so much more open-minded than those in Michigan.

The second is the fact that I can go to a college that specializes in culinary arts. The culinary course I'm taking here is from a business college, so you can guess how much I'm actually learning about cooking.

The third is that it's a step closer to Boston. I love Boston. I visited there once when I was younger. I couldn't get enough of the sites and sounds. It was all so marvelous.

My last few reasons all have to do with this place. Specifically: A lack of job opportunities, health hazards, safety risks, and almost continuous threats against my life.

My throat's been bothering me lately. I can't talk

Though unlikely, I think something might be up with my tonsils. I didn't have them out when I was a kid, and my family's always had a history of tonsil problems

I've found some temporary solutions:
Ice cream
Hot tea w/honey
Hot bath w/scented salts
Hot water poured over mint, flower petals, and herbs ground together

Unfortunately, I emphasize the word "temporary" ^^;

That insufferable woman and I are at wits end with each other. I'm angry because she's a bitch and acts like she owns the fucking place (it's an apartment). She's angry... well, because I "don't clean the house often enough."

ANYWAYZ. I seriously need to get out of here. For two reasons:
1) I can't stand her

I talk, but my words are filled with anguish...
I laugh, but it is hollow...
I smile, but the corners always turns down...

I live with my mother, but she can't tell any of this. She doesn't know anything about me... she can't hear the anguish in my voice or how hollow my laughs are... she can't even see the corners of my smile turning down. I realize now that it's because she has no real interest in me. When we moved here 7 years ago, we both changed. I became more intelligent, and I lost my naive way of thinking. My mother... became obsessed with work. All she does is work and read. Her books are more important to her than I am...

This town has been the apex of my misery. It started seven years ago. Since moving here I have felt nothing but pain and suffering. And, though I try to stop people from feeling this same pain, all that ends up happening is people start hating me...

Do I really have the strength to keep living? I don't know any more. All I know is that my heart is heavy with sadness and I don't want to feel this pain any longer...

I'm not heartless, but I'm also not retarded. Do you know what these so-called "terrorists" are doing? They're making people afraid of a threat that doesn't even exist so that their idiotic leaders will spends hundreds of billions of dollars trying to make them feel safe. These "terrorists" know they can't wage war on us! They're trying to make our economy collapse from stupid moves like the ones our president is making!

Another thing, why are you people so obsessed with it? Because of your stupid interest in it, people like you are playing right nto their hands. You watch and become afraid of a threat that's not even real. You turn to the person in charge and say "Please save us!" And billions more gets spent on "safety measures" that don't do jack shit! You're no safer now at an airport than you were a decade ago.

I recently came across a very sarcastic list about why homosexual marriage will "ruin" the economy. Allow me to explain to all you idiots out there why this is not meant to be taken seriously...

~1. Homosexuality is not natural, much like eyeglasses, polyester, and birth control.~
Neither are clothes, shoes, stores, money, or even churches. None of these things fall under the definition of "natural"

~2. Heterosexual marriages are valid becasue they produce children. Infertile couples and old people can't legally get married because the world needs more children.~
The world doesn't need more children. It's humans fault the world is in the shitty shape it's in right now, and more subhumans won't help, you nimrodic breeders

~3. Obviously gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children.~
Clearly *Rolls eyes* That's why I turned out gay from a couple of clear heterosexuals

~4. Straight marriage will be less meaningful, since Britney Spears' 55-hour just-for-fun marriage was meaningful.~
Self explainatory, though the actual marriage only lasted closer to 48 hours

~5. Heterosexual marriage has been around a long time and hasn't changed at all; women are property, blacks can't marry whites, and divorece is illegal.~
You can just sense the freaking sarcasm. Women aren't property, blacks can marry whites, and divorce happens almost as often as actual marriage

~6. Gay marriage should be decided by people not the courts, because the majority-elected legislatures, not courts, have historically protected the rights of the minorities.~

~7. Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire counrty. That's why we have only one religion in America.~
Again, pure bull. Christianity is the main religion, but there are many others as well, many of which do, in fact, supportm gay marriage. Our country is not a theocracy (I can't really say that with so much confidence, any more)

~8. Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall.~

~9. Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract.~

My mom's raised me since I was 8, half my life with just one parent.

You know, I really hate to start out on a low note here, but I did start this journal for a reason

Most of the people I know, some my friends, others not so much, are very kind and caring people. But there's one problem with them: 90% of them are becoming annoyingly angsty and acting like they're the only people with problems

Yeah, one lost ended a friendship with someone who was his friend since he was a child

Yeah, one broke up with the only person he ever loved

Yeah, another even broke his arm in a car accident

Big freaking whoop

Why torment yourself? yes, you'll eventually die. And what will happen after that? Nothing? Everything? I don't know, I've never claimed to. I do know this, however. You should take the time while you live to have fun, since nobody's really sure what happens after you do. If nothing happens, then you've just wasted a good portion of your life being miserable and won't have the chance to make it up
